Who may use Orph
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for the security of your phone, account, and any activity under your account.
What Orph does
Orph helps you record workouts, meals, supplements, goals, and progress through messaging and a companion app. Features, limits, and availability may change as the product develops.
Text messages and consent
After Sign in with Apple, the first Open Messages action prepares a single-use connect <token> command. Only receipt of that command through Orph's signed inbound messaging service pairs your actual Messages sender—a phone number or Apple-account email—with your account. Opening or dismissing the composer alone does not complete pairing. This first connection does not provide consent for automated service messages, adaptive check-ins, or AI processing.
Later in onboarding, you can review the Messages & coaching and Your data & AI disclosures. Consent is recorded when you tap Agree & Open Messages, before the Messages composer opens. This authorizes automated service messages and the disclosed AI processing, and prepares the default adaptive coaching plan; your existing coaching pauses and declines stay in place. Sending the prepared starter continues setup by text; it is not the action that records consent. Dismissing that composer does not withdraw consent; use the controls described here and in the Privacy Policy to change your permissions. Message frequency varies, and carrier message and data rates may apply.
Replying STOP stops every service text and disables logging by text. START resumes service messaging, and HELP returns support information. Your existing tracker and account controls remain available if you stop messaging or withdraw AI permission.
Adaptive check-ins
An enabled adaptive check-in plan can send only after your Messages address is connected, setup is complete, current service and AI permissions are in place, and paid access is active. Default local times include a 7:30 a.m. morning check-in; conditional nutrition, training, and supplement prompts at 3:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.; an 8:30 p.m. review; and a Sunday 5:00 p.m. weekly review.
Orph checks the live log before sending and observes quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; proactive messages are capped at four per day. Orph does not send a second rescue nudge if you did not respond to the first. You can edit plan times and categories in Messages and pause or resume proactive delivery in the in-app Privacy & messaging destination or in Messages.
AI and nutrition processing
With your permission, Orph may use OpenAI to interpret fitness and nutrition text and relevant context, and FatSecret to match food descriptions with nutrition information. You may withdraw AI-processing permission, although features that depend on that processing may stop working.
Subscriptions and Apple billing
Paid features, if offered to you, are billed through Apple and managed with RevenueCat. Prices, trial terms, renewal timing, and cancellation controls are shown before purchase. Apple handles billing, refunds, and subscription cancellation under its rules. Apple standard end-user license terms also apply where required.
Health disclaimer
Orph provides tracking tools and estimates, not medical care. Nutrition estimates, workout summaries, suggestions, and other outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on Orph for diagnosis, treatment, emergencies, or decisions that require a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Orph, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, evade limits, send unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or use the service in a way that violates law or another person's rights. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.
Account deletion
Account deletion is available in your Orph profile under Help & about → Account settings → Delete account. Read the warning, then continue to the confirmation. Type DELETE in the app to confirm. Deletion removes your primary account record immediately and irreversibly; there is no recovery window. Analytics deletion may complete asynchronously, and limited security logs or backups may persist for a restricted period as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting an Orph account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage billing separately through Apple.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Orph changes. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to support@textorph.com.
